These terms apply whenever you book a private shuttle through LIRDirect.com ("we," "us"). By messaging us on WhatsApp to request a quote or booking, you agree to the terms below.
Our Role
LIRDirect.com is a direct booking service connecting travelers with independent, licensed local drivers in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. We are not a taxi company or vehicle fleet operator — your ride is provided by an independent driver, not by LIRDirect.com itself.
Bookings & Quotes
Every booking starts with a message on WhatsApp describing your destination, number of passengers, and any other relevant details. We check availability and reply with a price based on your specific request. Quotes are valid for 7 days from the date given and are subject to driver availability at the time you confirm.
Payment
Payment for your first trip can be made at the start or end of that ride, whichever you prefer. If you book more than one trip with us — for example, an arrival transfer and a return departure, or multiple transfers during your stay — full payment for all reserved trips is due during your first trip, not spread across each individual pickup. We accept credit card or cash (USD or CRC) payment options. We do not collect online deposits or payment through this website.
Luggage & Special Items
Standard luggage (one suitcase and one carry-on per passenger) is included in your quote. The following must be disclosed when you book, as they may require a larger vehicle or an additional fee:
- Oversized or excess luggage (extra suitcases beyond the standard allowance)
- Surfboards, boogie boards, or other bulky sports equipment
- Golf clubs, bicycles, or similar oversized gear
If these items aren't disclosed in advance, we can't guarantee the assigned vehicle will have room for them, and additional charges may apply on the day to accommodate them or upgrade the vehicle.
Cancellations & Changes
Plans change — if yours do, message us on WhatsApp as soon as possible so we can adjust your booking or release your driver for other requests.
Independent Drivers
All drivers are independent local operators, personally vetted by us, and responsible for their own vehicle, license, and insurance. While we only work with drivers who meet our standards for safety and service, LIRDirect.com is not the transportation provider and is not liable for delays, losses, or incidents beyond our reasonable control, including traffic, weather, road conditions, or acts of the driver.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will always reflect the most recent revision.
